Love compatibility readings are old - astrologers have been comparing birth charts for relationship assessment for centuries. The love thermometer takes a lighter approach: it gives you a percentage compatibility reading based on your names and birth dates, drawn from numerological and name-gematria methods that have been in use since at least the 19th century. It's not a verdict on your relationship. It's a number that tends to make people think - usually about what the percentage doesn't capture.
How it works
Enter your name and birth date, and the other person's name and birth date. The calculator runs the numerological compatibility across Life Path numbers, Expression numbers, and name-gematria resonance, then returns a compatibility percentage, a breakdown of where you align, and a brief note on where the tension lives. You'll see what's feeding the score, not just the number.
Understanding your result
The percentage is generated from multiple compatibility axes, not a single calculation. Life Path compatibility is weighted most heavily - two people with naturally harmonious Life Paths (1 and 5, for example, or 2 and 6) score higher here. Name numerology adds a resonance layer. The breakdown tells you which axis scored high and which created friction. A score of 78% with strong Life Path alignment but friction on the Expression axis looks different from 78% where everything is average - the breakdown matters more than the headline number.
Frequently asked questions
Is a high percentage a guarantee of a good relationship?
No - and a low percentage isn't a verdict against one either. Numerological compatibility describes energetic resonance, not the full complexity of two actual human beings. Use it as a reflective prompt, not a decision tool.
Can I run this for a friendship or a professional relationship?
Yes - the compatibility calculation works for any two people. The interpretation framework is written for relationships broadly, not exclusively romantic ones.
Does the order of names matter?
No - the calculation produces the same result regardless of which name is entered first. Compatibility is bidirectional.
Is this scientifically validated?
Numerology isn't a peer-reviewed science. This tool is offered for entertainment and self-reflection, not as a psychological or predictive assessment.
